Shreya-r golpo

Shreya had been talking so much these days that it is difficult to remember and record each & every OMG-moment that she is giving to her Mimme. Here are some of them to start with:

Scene 1 - Shreya, Mimme and her Mani (thats what she calls her nanny) in lift.
Another person joins us in the lift. The usual activity of Shreya once she gets into the lift is putting on the fan. That day once she switched it on, I asked her if she had asked the Uncle if it is OK for him if you switch on the fan. She immediately looked at him and asked "Uncle, tumi ki hot?" ("Uncle, are you hot?"). I froze for a moment and then looked at the person smiling blankly back at her..ROFL.


Scene 2 - Mimme doing her weekly wardrobe cleaning while Shreya was busy messing with them.
Last week I was cleaning up S's wardrobe when Shreya unfolded a neatly iron shirt of S. I snapped back at her (yes, I qualify to be called a 'snappy mom') and asked her "What will she do if Pappa scolds her for this?". Pat came the reply "Shreya Pappa-r doll, tai Pappa boku debe na" ("Shreya is Pappa's doll and thus he will not scold me"). Away since last 8 months and you still continue to hog the lime-light. Now this is cheating, S.


Scene 3 - Usual prayer-time after bath
No two days are same when it comes to couple of these activities. Some day she will be an angel while some days I have to literally force her to offer a prayer. One of those days when she was an angel, she folded her hand and suddenly I hear her speaking to God "Thakur, Shreya goo-girl (good-girl) na? Shreya-r sordi komao pliz..." ("God, Shreya is a good-girl, isnt it? Then please take-away her cold"). OMG, who taught her all those things. I mean since when did she start understanding all these.
